What is Beat Studio?
Beat Studio is a 16-step sequencer — a music tool that loops a short pattern of beats over and over. It has three instruments built in:

Deep sub-bass — the amapiano groove foundation

Transport Bar — Start Here

Press to start the beat loop. Press again to stop. The green bar at the top shows which step is currently playing.
BPM
Beats per minute — controls the speed. Amapiano lives at 100–116 BPM. Drag the slider left to slow down, right to speed up.
VOL
Master volume slider. Turn it up before you export or share.
🎤 MIC
Records your microphone mixed with the beat. Browser will ask for mic permission — allow it. Recording stops when you click Mic again, then the mixed file downloads automatically as a .webm audio file.

Each row is one instrument. Each row has 16 buttons — one for each step in the loop. Click a button to turn that step ON (lit up). Click again to turn it OFF.

🎹 Piano Grid — Melody
Each row is a note in the selected scale. Top rows = higher notes, bottom = lower. Light up a few steps across different rows to create a melody. The Scale Switcher above the piano grid lets you change the key and mood (Major, Minor, Dorian, Phrygian, etc.)
🎸 Bass Grid — Groove
Works the same as the piano grid but plays deep sub-bass tones. A simple bass line of 2–4 active steps gives that signature amapiano thump. Start with step 1 and step 9 on the root note row.

The Scale Switcher sits above the piano section. Choose a root note (C, D, E … B) and a scale type to change the mood of all piano and bass notes at once.

Renders your full pattern as a high-quality .wav audio file and downloads it instantly. Use it in any DAW (FL Studio, Ableton, GarageBand).

Quick Tips for Beginners
🎯 Start with drums only — get a pattern you like, then add piano, then bass.
🔁 Less is more — amapiano beats have space and groove. Don't fill every step.
🎚️ BPM sweet spot — try 108 BPM for that slow, hypnotic amapiano feel.
🎹 Piano tip — activate steps 1, 3, 7 and 11 on the same note row for an instant amapiano piano roll.
🔊 Presets — click the preset buttons (Groove / Deep / Log / Bounce) to load a ready-made pattern and remix it.
