Online Safety
Your safety matters. Amapianos is built for the love of the music and genuine community — please read these tips to keep your experience safe and positive, online and at parties.
💬 Chatting Safely
- Keep conversations on Amapianos until you genuinely trust someone.
- Never share financial information — bank details, card numbers, or send money to anyone.
- Be wary of anyone who quickly asks for money, gifts, or favours.
- Don't share your home address or precise location with people you've just met.
- Watch for inconsistencies in someone's story — not everyone is who they claim to be online.
🚫 Drug-Free Parties
Amapianos promotes drug-free parties. Amapiano is about the music, the dance and the community — not substance abuse.
- Illegal drugs must never be supplied, sold, used, or promoted at any party listed on Amapianos.
- Hosts: make your event explicitly drug-free and arrange responsible security.
- Drink responsibly, know your limits, and never leave your drink unattended.
- Look out for one another — if a friend seems unwell or unsafe, get help immediately.
- Listings or messages that promote drug use will be removed and the accounts may be suspended.
🎉 Attending & Hosting Parties
Parties on Amapianos are created and run by members, not by Amapianos. Stay safe whether you're going or hosting:
- Before you go: read the party's minimum age, pricing, security, dress code, guest and drinks policies and house rules. Unclear about something? Use Ask a Question on the party page first.
- Paid parties: check the refund policy before paying. Payments and refunds are between you and the host — Amapianos does not process party payments.
- Meeting in person: tell a friend where you're going, arrange your own transport, arrive sober and aware, and trust your instincts — leave if you feel uncomfortable.
- Hosts: you are responsible for your guests' safety, age checks, security and venue compliance. Consider appointing a trusted member as your safety / concern contact.
- Off-platform invites: if you invite people via Instagram or Facebook, apply the same caution — don't share sensitive details with people you don't know.
🚩 Red Flags to Watch For
- Requests for money or financial help, however compelling the story.
- Pressure to move to another platform or to meet privately straight away.
- A party or host that won't answer reasonable questions about safety, security or age limits.
- Events that hint at or promote drugs, or pressure you to use them.
- Profiles with very few details that seem too good to be true.
🛟 Reporting & Support
- Concerns about a party: use Report a Concern on the party page. It goes to the organiser and their appointed safety contact, and is kept on record.
- Concerns about a user: use the report tools on profiles and conversations, and block anyone who makes you uncomfortable — they won't be notified.
- For anything else, reach the team via the Contact page.
- In an emergency, always contact your local authorities first.
If you ever feel unsafe, trust your instincts and reach out. We're here to help.
